Each summer, architect and educator Peter Goldstein, AIA, presents two one-day workshops in collaboration with the Nasher. Participating students explore the intersection of natural and built environments in the Dallas Arts District.
Destination Dallas offers the unique opportunity to experience in-depth, behind the scenes tours of the Nasher Sculpture Center and other architecturally significant structures throughout the city. As part of the program, students will complete a project designed to develop their drawing, model-making and creative problem-solving skills.
Open to students who have completed 8th – 12th grades. Free for accepted students. Applications accepted each spring.
Destination Dallas participants will:
- Develop and explore drawing and visual thinking skills through hands-on projects.
- Develop critical thinking, communication and observation skills through group discussions.
- Develop an appreciation of architecture and the built environment.
- Explore the art and architecture of downtown Dallas.
