With each temporary exhibition, such as SURVEY: Antony Gormley, the Nasher reinstalls its permanent collection to provide additional context and complement the works and themes in the featured exhibition. The works from the Nasher Collection in Foundations: Antony Gormley were selected by the artist, allowing us to glimpse the permanent collection through his eyes and providing further insights into his artistic interests. Gormley, a keen observer and student of sculpture, has selected work from the limited chronology of the Nasher Collection (about 1850 to the present) by important precursors, as well as friends, contemporaries, and younger artists.
