A specialist in Spanish modernism and modern and contemporary sculpture, Morse received a Master of Arts degree in art history from the University of Texas at Austin. Since 1999, he has held curatorial positions at the Dallas Museum of Art and the Nasher Sculpture Center where he has organized numerous exhibitions, including Jaume Plensa: Genus and Species (2010); Revelation: The Art of James Magee (2010); Tony Cragg: Seeing Things (2011); and Return to Earth: Ceramic Sculpture of Fontana, Melotti, Miró, Noguchi and Picasso, 1943-63 (2013).
As Project Manager of Nasher XChange, Stephen Ross has overseen all logistics of the project and acted as a liaison between the Nasher Sculpture Center, artist candidates, contract staff and key members of the community. Ross joined the Nasher Education department in 2004, and served as curator of Education from 2006-2011. Currently, Ross works as a consultant to the Nasher on long-term projects. He holds an M.A. History degree from the Courtauld Institute of Art, London and a B.A. in art history from the University of Texas at Austin.
Peter Simek is the arts editor for D Magazine, where he writes about movies, art, and culture and edits D’s online arts and entertainment website, FrontRow. He has covered city hall for People Newspapers, contributed a real estate column for D CEO, and has written features on topics ranging from soccer hooligans and insurance fraud investigators to art collectors and Tony Romo. Previously to D Magazine, Simek co-founded and edited Renegade Bus, a cultural journal. His writing has appeared in Salon, Film Threat, and other publications.
Formerly director of the Public Art Fund in New York (2006-2009), noted curator, writer and contemporary art leader Rochelle Steiner has commissioned 35 public art projects with established and emerging international artists, including Olafur Eliasson’s The New York City Waterfalls, which is one of the most ambitious works of public art to have been realized. Steiner also has held curatorial positions in major museums in the United States and London, and consulted for the Miami Art Museum.
