Join Francis Bagley, Julie Cohn, Debora Hunter, and Susan Magilow for a conversation celebrating the opening of Nasher Public: Toxic Shock. The Dallas-based Toxic Shock art collective formed in 1981, when Bagley, Cohn, Hunter, Magilow, and Linda Finnell (deceased) produced their first collaborative work for an exhibition at Dallas City Hall. While each continued to practice as individual artists, the body of work that Toxic Shock has created together over more than four decades comments critically on power, politics and their perspectives as women artists. This October, Toxic Shock will debut a new site-specific installation in the Nasher’s Public Gallery that explores the experience of aging in an intensely polarizing political landscape.

FREE for Nasher Members and students, $10 for non-members. In-person and open to the public. Includes museum admission.
