MUSIC:

6:30 p.m. / Frankie Leonie

The Texas singer-songwriter proudly carries the label of country artist … yet she’s inspired by and often mixing in folk, blues and any number of influences. Born in Austin – the epicenter of the Texas music scene and the Live Music Capital of the World – Frankie’s love of music showed up right away. Her parents began taking her along to concerts. Before long it was obvious Frankie was a better fit for the stage than the audience. Today, Frankie plays at least once a week at clubs around Dallas and Fort Worth. She has shared the stage with the likes of the Old 97's and Nikki Lane. She’s opened for Ray Wiley Hubbard, Lukas Nelson and Margo Price. She’s played at noteworthy Dallas and Nashville clubs, several festivals and in the River Roots Music Series in Indiana.

Frankie’s work is becoming more noticeable among peers, established musicians and critics. The Dallas Observer named her best Country Act for 2018.

7:30 p.m. / West Texas Exiles

With influences from The Flatlanders and Buddy Holly to Augustana and Jason Isbell they are reinvigorating the music scene with a modern interpretation of the lone star vernacular. Grounded in rhythmic and lyrical honesty, the Exile sound is the vastness of the West Texas sky and the energy of a world where nothing stands still for long. The 1st single “New Moon Foe” coincided with a tour in May 2022. The 2nd single “Hotel Tomorrow” evokes the ghosts of southwestern Americana at its snakebit best, but it's the eponymous track, "Exile" where the group's intentions are declared most strikingly – this band of outsiders aren’t just waltzing across Texas, they are riding into the sunset in search of new horizons "while I still got my boots on my feet."

8:30 p.m. / Sam Johnston

Dallas native, Johnston has developed a reputation as a rising light in the blues rock world. At21, he released his debut EP “Longing” whichreceived support from Spotify, Deezer, AmazonMusic, and more as well as charted at #2 on the US iTunes blues charts on multiple occasions(and has since charted in 19 other countries on iTunes and Apple Music.) Alongside his 2019single “Isabelle”, he has accumulated over 2 million streams cross-platform.His dynamic voice, blistering guitar playing, and introspective lyricism has made him a force tobe reckoned with. This reputation has allowed him to share the stage with acts such as ColonyHouse, KINGFISH, Bowling For Soup, 3OH!3, Smooth Hound Smith, and more.Alongside producer Drew Long (Judah & The Lion, Betcha, Kris Allen...), Johnston has created analbum that borrows from influences such as Alabama Shakes, The War on Drugs, Tame Impala, and Dawes. Embracing change, “Cannonball" is a full splash.
