Nasher Sculpture Center Announces Free Admission Policy for First Responders

Museum to extend free admission to all police and fire department members beginning July 12, 2016

Dallas, Texas (July 11, 2016) – The Nasher Sculpture Center announces the formation of the First Responders Free Admission Policy. Beginning on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, all members of police and fire departments worldwide, with proper identification, may enjoy yearlong, free admission to the Nasher. The policy will also allow admission for up to five immediate family members.

The new First Responders Policy is created in an effort to honor those members of police and fire departments that dutifully serve communities here and abroad.

“Recent events in Dallas only underscore the tremendous risks that members of police and fire departments take for the public, and we hope that offering the museum as a resource and place of respite will help to honor their sacrifice,” says Director Jeremy Strick.

In addition, in commemoration of the five Dallas police officers that were killed on July 7 and who will be remembered in a memorial service at the Meyerson Symphony Center, the Nasher Sculpture Center will be free for ALL visitors on Tuesday, July 12.
