Student Zine

2017 – 2019 Nasher Prize

Students from around the world are invited to submit original content based on the work of each year's Nasher Prize Laureate for publication in a limited-run zine.

Each spring during Nasher Prize Month, the Nasher held a public festival to launch the zine and to celebrate the work of the Nasher Prize Laureate. This opportunity is presented by the Student Advisory Board, a group of high school-age students who contribute to programming at the Nasher.

Zines

The 2019 Student Zine honors the work of artist Isa Genzken through artwork based on themes like architecture, urban life, assemblage and scale.

The 2018 Student Zine celebrates artist Theaster Gates, whose practice encompasses themes of community, identity, labor and performance.

The 2017 Student Zine responds to big ideas in the work of artist Pierre Huyghe, including memory, narrative, the environment and the uncanny.
