2018 student-produced 'zine

Students from around the world are invited to submit original content based on the work of artist Theaster Gates for publication in a limited-run 'zine.

This year, in celebration of the 2018 Nasher Prize Laureate, Theaster Gates, we are putting together a 'zine (an informal publication) responding to big ideas in his work: space, neighborhood, identity, race, materials, labor and collecting. 

Students ages 14 - 22 can submit a 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 in. (21.6 x 12.7 cm) 'zine page featuring drawings, paintings, collage, poetry, essays or other original content create in response to themes in Gates' work. For complete information, download the Call for Submissions below.
