About Senga Nengudi
The Nasher Sculpture Center honors 2023 Laureate Senga Nengudi. This spring, visitors to the Nasher can see significant works by Nengudi, listen to academic insights, and join talks that consider the work of an artist who deploys such unexpected materials as used pantyhose and sand.
About Nasher Prize
The Nasher Prize is awarded annually to an artist whose body of work has had an extraordinary impact on our understanding of sculpture. Each year’s Nasher Prize laureate is selected by an international jury of esteemed museum directors, curators, scholars, and artists. A full season of diverse programming inspired by the laureate – discussions and lectures, family and student programs, community partnerships, and more – engage thousands of art-lovers in Dallas and far beyond, both in-person and virtually. Then, the celebration culminates with the Nasher Prize Award Gala, held at the Nasher Sculpture Center each April.

Acerca de Senga Nengudi
El Nasher Sculpture Center rinde homenaje a la Galardonada de 2023, Senga Nengudi. Esta primavera, los visitantes del Nasher podrán ver obras significativas de Nengudi, escuchar las reflexiones académicas y participar en charlas que analizan la obra de una artista que utiliza materiales tan inesperados como medias de nylon usadas y arena.
Acerca del Premio Nasher
El Premio Nasher se concede anualmente a un artista cuya obra haya tenido un impacto extraordinario en nuestra comprensión de la escultura. Cada año, el galardonado con el Premio Nasher es seleccionado por un jurado internacional compuesto por estimados directores de museos, curadores, académicos y artistas. Una temporada completa de programación diversa inspirada en el galardonado -debates y conferencias, programas para familias y estudiantes, colaboraciones con la comunidad, etc.- atrae a miles de amantes del arte en Dallas y en otros lugares, tanto en persona como virtualmente. La celebración culmina con la Gala del Premio Nasher, que se celebra cada abril en el Nasher Sculpture Center.
