Summer Architecture Workshop

Join architect and educator Peter Goldstein for an in-depth look at the art, architecture and urban spaces of downtown Dallas.

Destination Dallas offers the unique opportunity to experience in-depth, behind the scenes tours of the Nasher Sculpture Center and other architecturally significant structures throughout the city. Throughout the program, students will complete a series of projects designed to develop their drawing, model making and creative problem-solving skills.

Who can apply:

Students who have completed grade 9, 10, 11 or 12 in 2016 may apply for this program. Please complete the online application form below.

An ideal candidate:

  • Has a strong interest in pursuing a college degree in architecture or a related field.
  • Has independent interests and incorporates his or her unique vision into projects and discussions.
  • Has a positive attitude and works well with other students.

Destination Dallas participants will:

  • Develop and explore drawing and visual thinking skills through hands-on projects.
  • Develop critical thinking, communication and observation skills through group discussions.
  • Develop an appreciation of architecture and the built environment.
  • Explore the art and architecture of downtown Dallas.

Application deadline is May 20, 2016. Up to 20 students will be accepted. Participants will be selected by Nasher staff and will be notified of their acceptance by May 27, 2016.Tuition for accepted participants is free of charge, and includes meals and supplies.
