Leo Marmol is one of the world’s leading authorities on the restoration of iconic Mid-Century Modern and International style residences, including the Kaufmann House by Richard Neutra in Palm Springs. His firm also incorporates those timeless concepts into new architecture, including product design exemplifying these elements. Following the keynote address there will be a Panel Discussion during which attendees will also learn about the current popularity of Mid-Century Modern interior design, featured in shows such as Mad Men and in many vanguard showrooms and design projects. The Panel will feature leading subject matter experts who will join Leo Marmol for this dialogue.
After the conclusion of the Symposium there will be a Patron wine reception at a private residence originally designed by Howard Meyer, with renovations by Bodron + Fruit. This residence is widely considered to be one of the finest examples of International Modernist design in Texas, and will be a perfect ending to an educational and enjoyable afternoon.
Tickets for the Symposium are $35 for Forum and Nasher members, $45 general public.
Tickets for the Symposium and a Cocktail Reception at a private residence following the symposium are $85 for Forum and Nasher members, and $95 general admission.
