Learn how poets and printmakers can work together to create unique, original creations. Artists and writers of all skill levels are welcome!

Join author Alex Lemon and printmaker Nancy Palmeri for a hands-on exploration of the connections between visual art and the written word.

Alex Lemon is the author of Happy: A Memoir and four poetry collections: Mosquito, Hallelujah Blackout, Fancy Beasts, and most recently, The Wish Book. He is an editor-at-large for Saturnalia Books, the poetry editor of descant, and he frequently writes book reviews for The Dallas Morning News. He lives in Fort Worth, Texas, and teaches at TCU.

In addition to being the director of the MFA program at University of Texas at Arlington, Nancy Palmeri is a printmaker whose work has appeared in exhibitions around the world. Recently, her work has been exhibited at the Istanbul Museum of Graphic Art (IMOGA); the Museo de Artes Contemporaneas Plaza, Bolivia; Proyecto’ace Buenos Aires, Argentina; and the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, Los Angeles, California.

The Gallery Lab series brings the spirit of experimentation to the Nasher galleries.  Join us for informal conversations, interactive presentations, performances, demonstrations and unexpected viewpoints on art with artists and voices from other disciplines. Expand your concept of a gallery talk and discover a fresh perspective on what it means to engage with the arts. Expect to be surprised!
