Dialogue with Sculpture: The Work of Jaume Plensa

Experience the work of contemporary artist Jaume Plensa through the special exhibition Jaume Plensa: Genus and Species at the Nasher Sculpture Center and through the Meadows Museum’s newly acquired sculpture, Sho.
The workshop begins at the Meadows Museum. Transportation to the Nasher Sculpture Center and a box lunch will be provided for participants.

Homeschool Workshops
$5 per-person deposit. Advance registration required

Discover the connections between words, letters, sculptures and spaces in the art of Jaume Plensa, then create an artwork based on your own favorite story or poem in the studio.
Thinking About Art
Offered Thursday, April 8 and Friday, April 9
10 am – 12 noon
Join us to learn how to make sense of art by thinking thematically, comparing, and categorizing. Then, create your own sculpture that “speaks to” other artworks in the galleries.
