Teacher Workshop
Comparing Collections: Modern and Contemporary Sculpture

10 am – 3 pm
FREE with advance registration

Develop a deeper understanding of modern and contemporary sculpture by investigating works at the Meadows Museum and Nasher Sculpture Center. This collaborative workshop will use masterworks from both collections to explore major themes in 20th and 21st century sculpture.

The workshop begins at the Meadows Museum. Transportation to the Nasher and box lunches will be provided for participants.

Discover how artists have used new ideas and technologies in their artwork, then join us in the studio to create your own “art invention.”

Imagine That
December 15, 16 and 17
10 am – 12 noon

Learn about artist Alexander Calder and how he used his imagination to create amazing works of art. In the studio, we will create our own imaginative artworks inspired by Calder.

NasherTeens Studio Workshops

Bring your class to the Nasher for a rich experience with the methods and materials used by modern and contemporary sculptors. Studio workshops may be booked for classes of no more than 30 students in grades 7-12 and can be tailored to your curriculum. Workshop content includes in-gallery discussions as well as hands-on projects. To schedule a workshop, contact Colleen Borsh at 214.242.5170 or CBorsh@NasherSculptureCenter.org.
