Past Exhibitions
The exhibition program at the Nasher Sculpture Center encompasses and expands upon the strengths of the Raymond and Patsy Nasher Collection. Recognized as one of the finest collections of modern and contemporary sculpture in the world, the Nasher Collection includes masterpieces by many of the most important artists of the past 125 years such as Auguste Rodin, Henri Matisse, Constantin Brancusi, Pablo Picasso, Joan MirĂ³, Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, Alberto Giacometti, Willem de Kooning, David Smith, Mark di Suvero, Richard Serra, and Jeff Koons.
In addition to changing installations of the Collection, the Nasher Sculpture Center organizes and hosts major loan exhibitions. Drawing on public and private collections around the world, these temporary exhibitions provide context for better understanding modern and contemporary sculpture, as well as explore the great variety of practices related to sculpture from the 19th century to the present including drawing, photography, installation, and architecture. Recent loan exhibitions have examined the work of artists such as Picasso, Smith, Giacometti, and Matisse, as well as architects Renzo Piano and Norman Foster.
